This goes out to a very good person who I work with.

I was getting my boys ready for the day and paying some bills when my phone went off..It was my boss."What are you doing today?" he asked. I replied getting the boys ready and what have you. "Can you work today Dolores's mom passed away." Without even thinking twice I told him.."Give me 10 minutes." Got the boys to the babysitters so she could take Anthony to school and care for Skyler and called hubby told him and off I went.

It is amazing what you do for your friends and family...Dolores and I have ahistory of working at the same type of jobs and we also get along beautifully. When I walked in she was working drive-thru..I put my hair up and grabbed a headset and she looked at me and tears were just streaming down her face. I took her in my arms hugged her tight and told her I was sorry..She told me she was sorry and I looked at her and told her..."You have NOTHING to be sorry about." Go to your family they need you I got this.

She looked back at me as she was getting ready to leave and she told me.."I loved my mom!" At that moment I lost it. I can not imagine losing a parent (Thank God not yet!) She was worried about things around the store and I looked at her and said this.."Don't stress this..I got it!"

My boss came in a little later and thanked me for coming in -- Not even a question about it!! Dolores almost lost her mom right before her 85th birthday which was earlier this month and almost didn't make it to Mother's Day but she did. So my heart goes out to my friend and co-worker, Dolores and her family and may God welcome her mom with the loving arms that we know He has.

Just a nice way to say "Hello!"

I hope everyone is having a good day...Skyler just fell asleep and I need to get Anthony in about an hour...Time to call the babysitter and see if she will bring Anthony home--She is truly awesome!!!

In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill.

Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber.

'I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news,' he said as he surveyed the worried faces.

'The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant.

It's an experimental procedure, very risky but it is the only hope.

Insurance will cover the e procedure, but you will have to pay for the brain yourselves'

The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, 'Well, how much does a brain cost?'

The doctor quickly responded, '$5,000 for a male brain, and $200 for a female brain.'

The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked.

A man unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask,

'Why is the male brain so much more?'

The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, 'It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've actually been used.'
