 Meet Ketlon Little

This a 5th grader at Anthony's school and this is his story...

Kelton "KK" Little is an 11-Year old Boy from Everett, WA. He has two super cool half brothers, Jeremy and Jeffrey. KK's an avid baseball fan and an exceptional baseball player! He enjoys Yu-Gi-Oh and hangin' out with his family and friends.....

In early October, 2006, Kelton noticed a lump on theleft side of his jaw. It was then diagnosed as adenoma carcinoma of his parotid salivary gland, a very rare cancer for a 10 Year old boy. The treatment was a combination of surgery and radiation treatments. Kelton braved these treatments like a champion! He went in for regular follow-up scans that came back clear, until February 2008 when spots were seen in his lungs. Further scans and tests were completed and it was determined that the cancer had metastasized to his lungs, kidneys and the proximal femoral head on his left side. KK now has stage 4 metastasic NSCLC (non small cell lung cancer). The treatments are just about to begin and they include installing a PICC , chemotherapy on a 21-day cycle involving 3 different drugs as well as radiation on the cancer in his leg.

As you can imagine these are extremely tough times for the Little's. Dad, Richard is an independent contractor and Mom, Alanna is an assistant at a medical clinic. While they do have insurance for Kelton it's no where near enough for them to make ends meet with all the medical bills piling up on them. Insurance does not cover literallyTENS of THOUSAND'Sof dollars of KK's treatments and every day that Richard doesn't work is a day without pay and Alanna's job doesn't allow for much paid time off. As we all know they have to take time from work for all of the different appointments as well as for the days that Kelton will be at home or in the hospital due to the Chemo.

As the extended family of the Little's we're asking anyone that can donate to this amazing family please do so. Any little amount will help! PayPal is the easiest (and least expensive) method for them to receive the donations.
If you aren't able to donate, we completely understand and please just keep Kelton and his family in your thoughts and prayers and perhaps pass along the link to this website to your friends and family in the hopes that the prayers will grow and some donations may come in to help this family stay afloat during these incredibly difficult and financially draining time in their lives. Please be sure to sign the Guestbook and thanks for coming by!!

I have met one other personwho fought so hard and long for her battle but she had leukemia and passed away before Branden was born over 17 years ago!! If you feel like you could help this wonderful family just let me know!!

Thanks amillion to all of you!!

Luv ya all,
Miss Terri
